Seed circular part 1

Dear readers,

Today we would like to inform you about the current varieties of winter barley, spelt, triticale and rye.

We would like to inform you that the packaging size of the seed BigBags has changed. From now on we deliver the BigBags with a weight of 500 kg, due to the change from BigBags with four loops to one loop.

Last fall, winter barley was increasingly infected by the dwarfing virus. To avoid infection, we recommend preparing the seedbed for winter barley as soon as possible to break the “green bridge” and keep the areas black. This is the best protection against dwarfing viruses.

We have a wide selection of winter barley varieties, including the high-quality KWS Somerset winter malting barley and the high-yielding KWS Tardis variety, which is particularly recommended for those switching varieties. We also offer the new variety LG Campus, which impresses with its good health and low susceptibility to Ramularia. We also recommend the varieties SU Vireni, Sandra, Bianca, California and SU Celly.

In the area of spelt, we offer varieties such as Zollernfit, Zollernspelz and Badensonne, which are characterized by good yield characteristics and stability.

For triticale, we recommend varieties such as Ramdam and Lombardo. For GPS use, we recommend particularly high-mass varieties.

We also offer promising hybrid rye varieties such as KWS Rotor and KWS Tayo, which are characterized by high yields and good stability.

Finally, we would like to draw attention to our green rye varieties Protector and Traktor, which offer excellent dry matter yields and weed suppression.

We hope that this information will help you to select suitable varieties for your growing areas and will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.

Best regards,

Your team from Allgaier Agrarhandel
